The Office of Technology Transfer and Industry Relations focuses on evaluating intellectual property assigned to the WKURF and transfers it to the private sector locally, regionally, statewide, or nationally through mutually beneficial partnerships, collaborations, or licensing activities. These collaborations may also involve applied research at select research and development centers on campus through partnerships with the private sector. The ultimate goal is to facilitate the development and commercialization of intellectual property to support economic development efforts. The Office of Technology Transfer & Industry Relations offers its services to faculty members, staff, and students at WKU and the private sector.
